In 8th grade boys basketball action, the Spartans held off Lopez in a shortened game. ICRS held a lead of 12-11 when the game was called to give Lopez time to catch the Anacortes ferry. With the 7th grade victory earlier in the afternoon, that gave the Spartans a sweep to start the season. Congratulations to all the players and to our new coach, coach Flores.

Undefeated Season

Wednesday, 26 October 2011 19:10

PDFE-mail

Congratulations to the 8th grade Spartan volleyball team. On Tuesday they overcame Bayview in an away match to complete an undefeated season. In the first set it looked like Bayview may find a way to go up 1-0. The court in Bayview is notably shorter than regulation, which foiled the Spartans' strength of hitting the ball deep. But eventually the Spartans were able to come away from the set with a narrow 23-21 win. After the close opener, the Spartans sailed easily 21-12 to return home with the perfect season.
