East Division,
Dear Parent(s):
We are delighted to learn of
your interest in Immaculate Conception Regional School. A Catholic education is a priceless gift that
you can give your child. Our mission guides us in providing an education rooted
in Catholic beliefs and values for students in Skagit and surrounding counties.
Your child will enjoy a challenging academic program in an environment that
provides a level of personal attention that cultivates his/her special gifts. Following are highlights of our school and our
programs. We look forward to meeting you
soon.
Benefits
·
Our
students score significantly higher on all standardized tests and each year our
graduates excel in the various high schools they attend.
·
Our
academic program is complemented by our commitment to moral and faith
development. The impressive results of this combination can be seen from our
youngest pre-school student to our 8th graders.
·
Our small
size guarantees that no one “slips through the cracks”. A recent survey of students at ICRS indicated
they value knowing all students and staff by name.
Programs
Preschool (Three and Four Year Olds)
·
We offer
morning preschool Tuesday-Thursday for three year olds.
·
Four year
olds meet 4 days a week Monday-Thursday.
·
If enrollment
warrants, an additional 4 year old class will be held Tuesday-Friday mornings.
Kindergarten
·
Our
full-day kindergarten class meets four days/week, Monday-Thursday.
Middle School
·
Our sixth,
seventh and eighth grade students use a middle school model, taking advantage
of our teachers’ academic strengths.
·
Science and
computer labs provide hands-on educational opportunities.
·
A beautiful
gymnasium and music room in the St. Joseph Center allows for a dynamic PE and
music program.
Extended Care
·
Extended
Care is available for all of our students, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m.
Admissions
·
A detailed
Admissions Policy can be found in our Family Handbook. The principal will
interview new families, school records will be reviewed and references may be
checked before final acceptance of older children. Placement testing may be
needed. Parents are responsible for releasing records from the previous school.
Kindergarten students come with their parents to Kindergarten Roundup on May 12.
Scholarships
·
Scholarships
are available and forms should be filled out before the end of February for
Archdiocesan scholarships.
Open House
·
Please
visit! Our Open House will be held
Monday, February 25 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. when tours will be
given. Registration packets from new
families will be accepted at that time.
Sincerely,
